  • Tokugawa family cemetery is a temple. The building is unusual in this area, no up and down stairs and the whole, newly furnished.

  • Founded in the year 1415 near your current location. When the shogunate Government dynasty founder Tokugawa Ieyasu was buried here in the year 1602, the temple was moved to its current location, to take care of his grave, and thus became one of the most popular temples. Throughout the Edo period, the shogunate Government wives and children were buried here. Because of severe fires in the Meiji period and the second world war, are not left buildings erected before the war, but stone tomb of Tokugawa shogunate family members safe and sound. On these tombs to walk a bit horrible, despite the fact that they are well maintained. Just the awareness of what is coming. The place itself has a very great historical value, but if you don't know the history-it is unlikely that it will leave in your memory any imprint.

Nokyo-Sho, in another Office on the right side of the main hall. The crest of the Tokugawa family crest and nokyo-sho book of the original.
