Where to stay in Awaji

International visitors to Awaji tend not to stay in the town itself, but prefer instead to look around the coast of the island. A decent number of hotels boasting sea views, pools, and onsite restaurants lie along Awaji Island's perimeter; the most popular places to stay are the traditional ryokans, clustered around the hot springs.

  • It is a park adjacent to the SA Awaji (Awaji OASIS) free of charge. Hydrangeas are famous as is, you can enjoy various flowers throughout the year. Parking is available from roads and parking fee is required.

  • This is one of the best parks in Japan, hands down. It is large and spacious. It is well tended with a wide variety of beautiful flowers and very clean. Japanese parks tend to feel a bit neglected but not this one. There are several different areas with individual feels, a wooded area, a large open grass area, and a children's play area with a great slide, splash pool and bouncing dome. It is easily accessible from the highway (Awaji Service Area is connected on both sides by car or on foot without leaving the highway) or local roads. It is totally free (including car parking) and the car parks don't close at five (though the attendants do go home). I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially families. Cracking day out. Massive congratulations to Hyogo and all the people who work there on this.
  • Love this place ! It's kind of park in the jungle, huge of natures. Also there is wide field, so you can play soccer or other outdoor activities like kite. I think this park is good for playing with your children because when I went there it's a lot of family and their kids. I'm not sure there are any restaurants or not. But there are vending machines if you are thirsty. Parking area is not large, so maybe in summer it's no space for parking. It's free to use the playground but please take responsibility of your kids.
  • Huge park with several amusements. there is a long Slider . Good for families
  • Children was the Park won't play one day. Many types of slides. It was like akinai Park.
