  • Location from famous rock Ishibutai Kofun advanced about one kilometer to the North. Or perhaps there is free parking for visits to thick road north from rock stage, may and doing the public paid parking. From there to the temple arrives in about 5 minutes I would climb a steep hill so hard on the elderly with care. There are Buddha inside the temple, but very friendly face was impressive. Trees surrounding the temple is decently clean and pleasant and the clean-up is now.

  • Unrelated, but the parking lot of the temple near the Temple temple was running a pay parking is available. (500 yen) to the atmosphere of the Temple in the countryside outside the main hall is bigger than you think, a historic building. Nokyo-sho boom of recent years, weekend, put the matrix. Gohonzon that soil is the ideal wheel Avalokitesvara Buddha. Japan's largest clay Buddha's, is a sight to see.

  • Lovely temple hidden in old, ancient Nara.
  • Oka-dera was my pinnacle of temple exploration in Japan. The mountain temple was laced in bright color and had a reverent heartbeat. Snow capped the tombstones and statues within. In the middle of my visit, a crowd of devout Asukamura people climbed to the main hall and chanted. It, along with the deep bells, moved my heart. The temple itself is masterfully crafted -- it took 30 years to complete. If you visit, be sure to travel deep into the mountainside to see the smallest secrets.
  • Collapse around as was occurring under the influence of Typhoon No. 21. If you want to turn around and walk around while somewhat NARA of man'yo culture of distant parking is free since it is recommended
