Kusasenri, Aso

4.1
#1 of 11 in Scenic Drive in Kyushu-Okinawa
Take in the fresh air and scenery of Kusasenri, an attractive grassy area located at the foot of the mountain. The inspiration for many romantic Japanese poems, the grassland offers a break from the lively urbane excitements of the country, providing a welcome natural simplicity in its look and feel. Take a stroll through the field to reach the main pond, meeting cows and horses on their way to the water source, and taking photos of all the green surroundings and the pleasant pastoral life they evoke. Was 33 ° C in Kumamoto, where it was cool. Hiking took to Germany, but I like that there are places in a way that resembles native, was very happy. Please note some surrounding roads have been closed in the aftermath of the earthquake. Kusasenri way horses and cattle, so on the way down the car, watching the scenery as well.

Not at Green as the not so good compared to Green: well, several times coming here the same place? What about tourists who are not as lax maintenance, was strewn with fallen horse manure to farmland. We'd better quit in the low season.

Where to stay in Aso

Aso possesses plenty of accommodations, either within the main city itself, or in the surrounding rural areas. For the most convenient accommodations, simply look along the train line that runs to the north of the volcano, where you'll see a range of hotels and guesthouses, with a mix of luxurious and basic options to choose from. North of the main town, a number of hotels and "ryokan" (traditional guesthouses) get as close as they can to the hot spring. This pattern continues throughout the more rural areas, with clusters of spa hotels close to the hot springs.
