Daikanbo, Aso

(4.5/5 based on 400+ reviews on the web)
Take in the view at Daikanbo, an observation area within the national park. The scenic spot, located on the top of a hill, offers views of five peaks of the mountain range, said to resemble a reclining Buddha. An onsite visitor center introduces the area, the significance of the view, and includes a restaurant serving light refreshments. To reach the observation platform, travel by car and use the onsite parking lot, or drop by as part of a longer walk through the national park. Make Daikanbo a centerpiece of your Aso vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Aso trip generator.

  • Because it saw nothing but bad weather is one. If the weather is bad is the worst. Weather permitting, as long as the photos would be best.

  • Observatory of natural 936 m, located on the highest peak of ASO Taikan peaks (だいかんぼう) is, as representing ASO famous scenic spot. Views of ASO 5 Gaku, guests can enjoy a panoramic view of a vast Caldera basin. It is a tourist spot always stop in when I visit the ASO and Kuju. We visited in October, before the leaves. Because the weather was good, there was great today.
