Asahikawa Station is a railway station in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, Japan, operated by the Hokkaido Railway Company (JR Hokkaido).Asahikawa Station is the central train station for the city of Asahikawa, which is the second largest city in Hokkaido by population after Sapporo.LinesThe station is the terminus for the following JR Hokkaido lines. Hakodate Main LineSōya Main LineSekihoku Main Line (The starting point is actually at Shin-Asahikawa Station, however all all-stations "Local" trains originate and terminate at Asahikawa Station.)Furano Line The station is numbered "A28".Station LayoutThe station has automated ticket machines, automated turnstiles, and a "Midori no Madoguchi" staffed ticket office. The Kitaca farecard cannot be used at this station.HistoryAsahikawa Station opened in 1898. With the privatization of Japanese National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR Hokkaido.The first phase of a new elevated station building opened on 10 October 2010. The entire station complex was completed in autumn 2011

  • It is building new, clean, and spacious. Train arrival and departure services are more limited because no large packing and was felt to have deserted. Warmth of wood are used in abundance, exhibition of works of art and there are not many people that were the best.

  • See, Jr, it was many, but here are its unique wall décor in many parts from solid pine with the latch with the person's name and e-mail cafes with af. Great hotel!

  • Just near the lightly attended, but was big and clean. Many shops around the hotel, so easy to shop, here was so enjoying tourist base. Also go far there, near the bus stop there was so helpful.

  • Had Dapas Bakery with sun dried tomatoes packed in olive oil.
  • We at the stamp rally. Parking lot is small I was struggling. In an can souvenirs and food. Okay k I had miso ramen. Delicious and affordable as the price is good 🎵

  • I left because I probably originally made new Gymnasium of daisetsu arena next to the gymnasium in the road that will? Gym was like I sometimes do events. Asahikawa's food court, a famous ramen restaurant just seems to have opened.

  • The parking lot is crowded. The toilet is far away. I think it has lined up two ramen shop, but no matter the different European systems and fast food.
