YUCa's Japanese Cooking Reviews
I had a fantastic time. Yuka is really helpful and a fantastic teacher. I really enjoyed the experience. more »
Thank you, Yuka, for the wonderful class in your home this week! You are a gracious hostess (even walking in the rain with us back to the bus stop!). Your gyoza and ramen lessons were easy to follow a... more »
Yuca is fantastic, so knowledgeable and practical. I have been putting my new kitchen skills to work now that I am home. The best souvenir one can ask for! Thanks Yuca!! more »
AMAZING!!! If you have the chance and want too learn how to really cook traditional yet modern Japanese food, I highly recommend this. Yuca herself is beyond sweet and accommodating. If I could rate this higher I would. We went as two adults and a 22 and 16 year old. All my expectations were exceeded! A must!!!
Cooking with Yuca was the best experience in Japan! We were a lovely group of six and Yuca picked us up at the train station. Her kitchen is perfect for the experience and it was great getting to know her and japanese cuisine better! We learned interesting things about planning japanese meals and setting the table and then prepared dashi, ramen and gyoza pizza as well as an appetizer. Everything was explained very well, we had a lot of fun, learned a lot and the food was delicious! We also got to taste different types of Sake and learned some interesting facts about them as well. Yuca communicated very well and made sure that we were all having a good time. She's a lovely person and we're incredibly happy to have booked this experience!
Booked the ramen and gyoza cooking class at Yuca’s cooking school. Yuca has a great understanding of Japanese ingredients and began with a brief lecture. Yuca endeavoured to make the cooking class inclusive and together everyone created the dishes. I would recommend this class for anyone wanting to learn how to cook these iconic Japanese dishes. Was hoping to learn to how to make the gyoza wrappers and ramen noodles from scratch which would have been quite time consuming so produce had been purchased.
When you want to have a flawless Japanese kitchen tryout, in a cozy warm home environment, with lots of attention paid to details to make you feel comfortable including instruction, printout, decorations, even ambient musics, and eventually working with a celebrity host and charming lady as your teacher adding to your Tokyo travel experience to remember years down the road, things can't get wrong than YUCa cooking class. Within just a few hours you won't get much chance to practice your cooking skills but rather get a glimp of essentials of Japan cooking. Consider it half cooking class for beginner and half taste of Japan family blended in a musical experience.
Booking a class is simple and very quick. Yuca responds immediately and is quick to respond to any questions. Getting to her is easy by taxi (included). She goes through step by step to make the dishes. We all made the food together, even though we were strangers we all became friends. I would recommend this to couples, and anyone who wants to try to make new delicious foods.
