Akita Museum Of Art, Akita

3.6
#1 of 11 in Museums in Akita
Take in a huge canvas painting, reputed to be the world's largest, at Akita Museum Of Art. Painted by the revered Western-style painter Fujita Tsuguharu, and measuring 3.65 m by 20.5 m, the piece depicts traditional Akita life throughout the seasons. Along with this star attraction, the museum exhibits various other works, including rotating exhibitions by local artists. Upon entering the museum, designed by award-winning architect Tadao Ando, you'll be greeted by an enormous triangular skylight and stark concrete walls. After viewing the works, stop in the cafe, or enjoy a picnic outside the museum on the paved, picturesque public square. • For me, Fujita said either image of French painter ever was, but, here's sum. Strong works especially covering a wall to the Fujita's much individuality. Just not seen in other works in this exhibition is seen in the other, reasonable 800 yen. Snow from the Cafe is very poetic.

  • Thing designed by Tadao Ando and Mr. Fujita tsuguharu Akita events there and permanent work often attractive, in time exhibition was held during regional Fujita and model who is on and off usage during this period and barely chose Akita travel at 駈込mi. Exhibitions & Fujita said there are plenty of pictures while I just suffered and Ryuichi, and Mr. Fujita tsuguharu, permanent public artwork, including works is satisfactory. Different different fantasies era while repeating and I is the same as a great artist and I think. And to witness the epic works of Professor Tadao just a box that surpassed the desire I have. That inorganic box epic extra Sheen seemed was very luxurious. Staff in many ways. Beautiful art museum at night from the park side. Happy to Akita! Bravo Akita! I think, is highly recommended when two or more people can enjoy the Vista of the infinity swimming pool from the Museum shop and Café. Sofa seats around the table, but no one is the painful feeling. This intention of Professor Tadao... Results became a space because it is less the number of tables is available anyone for everyday use of feeling good.

  • The first floor gallery is free of charge but the second floor has a payment of around 1200 JPY. I would recommend this place only if you have extreme interests in art.  more »

The main accommodations in the city of Akita lie close to Senshu Park, a central district that includes the primary train station and many of the main urban attractions and amenities. Choose from hotels and modern guesthouses, or a few options for budget-conscious travelers. More economical choices lie in the residential districts to the west, while many international visitors to the prefecture opt to stay in the rural areas to the east, particularly in the towns that surround the hot springs.
