Kiroro Resort, Akaigawa-mura

(4.2/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Relatively unknown to outsiders, but very popular among locals, Kiroro Resort makes a good place for beginners and intermediate skiers, with lots of pure fresh powder. If you're feeling adventurous, you can head out to some off-piste slopes and really test your skiing ability, or hire a guide and trek some of the area's less-trodden paths. Enjoy great views during cable car rides with no waiting time, and enjoy a wide variety of food, particularly noodles, for lunch. Associated with Akaigawa village, you can catch a free 10-minute shuttle service to and from Otaru. • The pistes are general flat - greens & reds. A black slope here is actually a red slope in disguise (e.g. a 23.3 degrees slope but it's left ungroomed). Mountain too small & undulating. Runs r interru...  more »
  • 此次安排的為滑雪旅行,從飯店到雪場的接駁車非常頻繁、方便,設施完善,雪場漂亮,滑道不少,有專門設計給兒童的滑雪區,很推薦喜樂樂度假村!
  • A very nice hotel, comfort bed, nice place to stay. But the hot spring didn't clean up very well. Food is above average.
  • Had really good time in the slopes of kiroro. Make sure to try all the beginner course! they have some awesome views! and the snow is pure powder! love it!
  • I just tried to skiing here because the hotel is full at the time. I love the powder snow here even my Japanese friend he siad it is the best snow place in Japan. There is shuttle bus for people who want to go at Otaruchikko, Otaru station. the staffs here are good enough in english for communication with us.
  • Small skiing resort a bit away from Niseko. Good for a few days of fun, but for intermediate skiers getting boring quickly due to the long, flat runs at the bottom. Food and drink options very limited since there are only two hotels running the place.
  • Great BC but powder runs are kind of short with a lot of traversing in and out. The hotel was recently converted into a Sheraton. The rooms are nicely refurbished but room rates are outrageous. Stay in Otaru if you have a car.
