  • Museum is off the map. We walked there from the castle (30 min) but I'd recommend Aizu loop bus instead because the route is quite boring. There are many buildings but you can only watch them from out...  more »

  • Literally the best samurai residence for me so far. The place is HUGE and it has a lot of information (especially if you can read Japanese). I spent a good part of my visit to Aizu here.
  • A really nice way to pass an hour or 2. The garden are beautiful and there's a lot to learn about the lifestyle of the samurai. There is limited info in English though.
  • Beautiful historic grounds in Aizuwakamatsu! When you purchase a ticket to go inside you are greeted by wonderful staff and a nice warm rice sweet drink which is great during the winter season! From there it's a self guided tour through the historic samurai residence filled with great history and exhibits! I definitely recommend especially if you're taking the tour bus route!
  • Went there some years ago and thought it was great , will be going back.
  • Travellers came to Samurai came long ago, on a family trip. It was a weekday and because the visitors are at least good. Soaked in sentimentality and along the way, a souvenir store at the entrance of the kitchen, go to exit and you're waiting for is a large souvenir shop. Here to return to contemporary works. But to come and. More came from reading the history you can see.
