  • Fascinating artifacts, beautifully presented.
  • ¥800 gets you into both the permanent and special exhibitions. Audio guide was great and there are some interesting exhibits. Only disappointment was the lack of mammoth in the exhibit. We went there specifically for this and the best we got was a tusk.
  • A museum for indigenous people in the north. Not just the Ainu people on Hokkaido but also others all over the world. Had some interesting displays on how they live before modernisation.
  • Nice and interesting museum. I really appreciated the (free) English audio guide. Took us roughly 1h15 following the guide to go through the permanent exhibition.
  • It is very interesting because you can see while comparing various Northern peoples such as the Ainu and Inuit culture. You can rent audio guide machines so carefully watching while listening to the explanation.
