Experience the magic of feeding a hummingbird from your hand at Rocklands Bird Sanctuary (Near Montego Bay), a unique feeding station set in the tropical gardens of a rustic cottage. Wait patiently for Jamaican mango hummingbirds, vervain hummingbirds and many other bird species that come and say hello. On arrival, grab a nectar filled bottle and the hummingbirds, who have become very accustomed to humans, will flock to you for a feed. Other species in the sanctuary include Jamaican tody, loggerhead kingbird and Jamaican orioles. For an extra fee, a guide will show you further into the lush forest to catch of glimpse of these winged inhabitants.     There are hummingbirds all over Jamaica, but there are places where they are fed and their concentration is highest. Rockland Bird is one such place. The bottom line is simple. You are brought, brought to a small area where a simple briefing - take a bottle of water with sugar and wait. You can sit down, you can stand - the main thing is not to move and wait. You will narrow the bird, experience children's delight and wonderful sensations! Recommend!

    This was an absolutely thrilling experience, it's so calming yet full filling to be in the environment of these birds. It's best to go there in the early morning or evenings as this is when the birds come in to feed, however, if you go in the afternoon you'll still see a bird or 2. The birds are not caged!!! It's a wonderful experience! Kids and adults will both enjoy it! Btw this is not a big tour company attraction, so don't expect overly staged interactions.

    Very cool spot in the mountains with a fantastic view of Mo Bay!! The birds are fortunate to have such a beautiful space to hang out. Where else can you have a hummingbird land on your finger and feed...only here, that’s where!! Worth the trip for sure!

    Was very interesting! To see all those birds up close. Feeding out of your hand middle if your brave enough that's! 😁 its something to experience trust me.

    Very peaceful & relaxing. Definitely a great environment to escape the noise of the city! Hummingbirds come to us easily and the staff is very helpful. Had an amazing time there. Accessible from Montego Bay by route taxi.

    Beautiful little sanctuary in the mountains. The keeper of the aviary puts food and fruit out daily to attract a variety of birds. Hummingbirds and finches will perch on you to feed.
