YS Falls, Santa Cruz

(4.5/5 based on 1,400+ reviews on the web)
Part of a seven-tiered cascade, YS Falls sits upon the grounds of an old sugar cane plantation. Each part of the falls has a pool to rest and swim in. Try rope swinging into the water, or opt for something faster with a zipline. You'll have a guide, and there are lifeguards present at each swimming location for peace of mind. Staff at the sight will happily photograph you, but consider bringing some cash along for tips. The site offers a gift shop where you can pick up souvenirs as well. YS Falls is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our international travel planner, Santa Cruz Edition.

  • I visited these falls recently: the surrounding area is quite breathtaking, there's a crazy vegetation. As for the falls, but you can't go up again, like it does with the Mayfield Falls. You can only swim in a few areas, launching himself with a rope and go up again externally through a stairway. But it is a very touristic place and less exclusive than the other falls above. Here the Rocky shoes are not required. I would recommend this tour to everyone!

  • We went on four excursions, visiting 7 attractions, and YS Falls was one of the most beautiful. We plan on re-visiting YS Falls on our next trip back to Jamaica. One of the great things about YS Falls is that it's not as well known as other Falls, such as Dunn's River, which means it's not as touristy and busy. Meaning you can relax amongst the beautiful surroundings without being disturbed. The pool at the bottom of the falls is the perfect opportunity to do this. The grounds are incredible, and unlike anything I have experienced before. The guides are incredibly helpful and are happy to assist you with what ever your needs may be. I recommend taking a waterproof pack if you choose not to use the lockers. We left our bags by the side of the fall, but it can be a little distracting trying to keep an eye on your belongings whilst simultaneously enjoying yourself.
  • We decided to visit YS as part of a multi excursion day. Definitely worth going to. We had a guide (free) that eased us onto the falls, literally step at a time and took about a hundred photos of us, both posed and as we were trying to navigate. We tipped him at the end, well worth the money!
  • Excellent, friendly patient guides who will take your photo with your phobe/camera so you don't lose it in the water, great crystal clear water, cool refreshing waterfalls, a great place for relaxing, and for thrills alike.. take on the zip lining before you go swimming. Will recommend to friends
  • Amazing property. Located on a working farm, you get a scenic ride to the main recreation area and get a glimpse of horses and cattle and beautiful scenery. Aside from the falls which is nature's perfection. There is a heated pool that earns five stars on its own. It is the best thing you could have after having cold river water cascading over you. There is a team of guides to offer you assistance with getting up the falls and getting great photos. Dont miss a chance on the rope swing and take the plunge and let go.
  • The place is beautiful but where there staff is concern, they need better training when dealing with customers, poor poor poor service i personal not going back there and not recommending anyone i know to go there.
