Enjoy some relaxation on Winnifred Beach, a shady white sand beach in the Fairy Hill community. • We arrived on time for dinner. It was a beautiful Sun. The people were super friendly. We Aron's decided to stop eating at Cynthia's restaurant which is found directly on the beach. We avows deguste jerk chicken and fish... very delicious! Cynthia IS wonderful, it made everything to please you. There comment has rain but we quandary even stay... a very nice place. It IS true that some local person trying to sell you things done's hand but good... it is their livelihood, you encourage them! Place a visit!

  • My wife and I visited this beach the day after Frenchman's cove. We much prefer this local beach, as there is no cover charge and the local community members can enjoy it. Some nice locals may try to ...  read more »
  • What a wonderful beach, with lots of fun of the locals which here provide great food and drink, and what their entertainment also come looking here at the weekend. The road up to it is very bad! Hence, few tourists seem to be coming. No entrance, but a voluntary contribution for the maintenance of the beach.

  • Great quiet. No life guard when I was there. Water is warm and it gets really deep very fast. There is also a shallow area for children. Restaurant sells some lovely homely food! Def going back there next time in Jamaica.
  • Because the. Water. Is. Cool
  • One of the few remaining Public Beaches in Portland. It's God's gift to Portlanders, friends, family and visitors. Simply beautiful it is.
  • Please don't tell me they are going to put a resort in here? It is a local beach where locals go. Unlike Ochos Rios where scammers chase you around all day long, Winifred beach is relaxing and the locals are welcoming. I felt 100% safe. The beach was clean. The water was dreamy. And there was a canteen if I got hungry. No pressure man. Someone playing a little reggae music in the background which just added to the atmosphere If you do run into an artist or a peddler, they won't hassle you. Smile and politely say no thank you. The last time I went there the road was treacherous on my rental car. But who cared. If someone asks for a lift back to the main road, give them one.
  • Relaxing place the best way to relax and have. Fun without using a lots of money best place for a picnic among the ocean
