  • Beautiful place. Clean facilities. Restaurant and craft shops are located on site. They'll tell you food is not allowed on site if they see it. No entrance fee but it seems to be run by tourist tours. The beach is small and will be overrun by 2-3 busses of tourists at a time. But if you don't mind sharing.. you can enjoy the place. You can rent Water boots or lounge chairs if you desire. There a small shaded areas provided/close to the beach... but they're usually occupied. People will try to hustle you as well... so be mindful.
  • it's very nice here. worth a visit definitely. It is quiet ( aside from the ubiquitous music) and there is a restaurant and bar. which is definitely tourist prices. jerk chicken and rice very tasty but bring a picnic if economising. there is a free car park and changing facilities.
  • Nice and fun. Nice Views
  • Beach had a nice ambience and good food. Definitely recommend as a location for a family outing. The beach also facilitates boarding to Cool Runnings party boats so there is something for everyone!
  • It was tranquil and you didn't have folks bothering you buy anything. The water was clear and cool for both the fresh water and sea. Also it wasn't crowded as it wasn't a day where cruise ships dock there. Couldn't have chosen better place. Its also free entry unlike most other public beaches.

Where to stay in Ocho Rios

Ocho Rios Bay Beach and Malards Bay--both hugging the northern coastline--serve as the most popular areas to stay, with an abundance of hostels, hotels, condominiums, and luxury beach resorts jostling for space along the seafront. Look east along Route A3 for a chance to stay at a quieter, less-touristy resort or private rental.
