  • Confusing because there are two. The Original Mayfield Falls and Chukka Mayfield Falls. We did the second one. Oral and Iberton were are guides and they were excellent. I am 66 and have difficultty wi...  more »
  • the water is cool, you need non-slip water shoes, the price of the box was very nice the leader, to the lock which is a nerve (5 Debby peculiar things $)

  • I found this tour one of the most beautiful ever made! We were only about a dozen people ... great! You climb the falls, with shoes for the rocks, that eventually you can also hire directly there. The Council absolutely at all, more of the YS Falls, which I thought was nice but less exclusive because busier.

  • This is not your average tourist attraction. Here, you are able to see and be a part of the beautiful Jamaican land and culture. It was quite the trip up the mountain to get here, but getting to see all of the little towns and along the way was very eye opening and a great experience. It is amazing how different people in this world can live. Once we got there we were greeted by our tour guides who were all so friendly and welcoming. They gave us lockers to keep our stuff in. Those who did not have them had to rent water shoes. BRING YOUR OWN WATER SHOES!!! We were prepared and had our $5 pair from wal-mart while most of our group had to pay $10 just to rent them. It was quite the hike up the mountain but so much fun. The view was beautiful going up and coming back down. A fair warning: You must be in decent shape to climb up and come back down. I feel like that is a warning that should be given to tourists who are considering this excursion. When we got back down the tour guides asked for tips and were very greatful for anything we were willing to give. They were all friendly and funny the entire time. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch cooked on site. Like I said, this is not the excursion you should go on if you are expecting 5 start treatment, but one to go and enjoy the land and culture of Jamaica. WE LOVED IT!!!
  • I never leave bad reviews but I have to based on our experience. The tour on the way up the falls was great but when we wanted to go back down we were told we would have to give tip. It was $30 for the two of us to get in. To walk up the falls and so we offered that for him to take us back down. I am totally a fair person and we were willing to pay to go back down the falls instead of walking the trail. So we offered $30 That wasn't enough he wanted more. He was saying $50 or $100 is what most people leave that's unbelievable considering we paid $30 for the tour. I have never felt more taken advantage of then on this day! I then took my water shoes back I paid to rent and was talk to like I was stupid because I wanted to return them where I got them from and the man there was like that's not where they go....... I'm not a mind reader buddy! All you have to do is show some kindness and you will win people over. I had an amazing trip to Jamaica the only bad day was at Mayfield Falls they need to work on customer service majorly!!! I would not go to mayfield falls again I would save my money and go to WS Falls way better tour with respectful staff that are not allowed to ask for tips!
  • Nice river walk with some fun pools and small falls. You must have a guide and you will be wading and getting wet, so only bring stuff with you that can get wet. They have lockers for rental, and they'll try to sell you lunch. If you're driving, the parking lot and vendor stands are above the entrance, so you'll have to walk down a road to enter the restaurant/bar/entry area. Wished I had left more of my stuff in the car so I wouldn't have to rent a locker. Our guide, Lester, was great and a lot of fun!
  • If you have time, go on this fun hike. The only thing bad about is that the three local guides asked for tips and when we gave them $5 USD each, they looked like they wanted to kill us. We ended giving them another 5 each but don't know if they were satisfied. We just got the heck out of there
  • The drive was very pretty, the falls we're OK, the guide hustled us for a big tip the whole time suggesting that we tip him $70 to $100 for a tour that we paid $15 per person for. I wouldn't recommend the tour no one wants to get hustled especially when you trying to relax on vacation. We love Jamaica and this doesn't happen much but when it does it a big turn off and gives the Island a bad reputation.
