  • I had booked the Martha Brae River Raft tour with Viator in December 2015 for our cruise stop in Jamaica in September 2016 and had pre-paid $140, in full, at the time I booked. I did check with Viator...  read more »
  • I have been going to Martha Brae and floating down the river for the last 26 years every year and always look forward to going back. It's just so very relaxing and we find it to be very romantic.
  • We were on a Caribbean cruise in November 2015 here and had pre booked this trip aboard. It all started with a great coach. When we arrived, all stormed the toilet, long queues were formed before that. Clearly, everyone wanted it on the toilet before it started. Because don't we were told how much time we had here, the last in line were very impatient. Actually, there were almost 1.5 hours wait, until we could finally directly to the river. But we didn't know that Yes at the time yet. Down on the river we waited a ¾ once again warm jacket in hot muggy weather hour on 'our' raft. Waiting times were already enormous but would be no problem have been theoretically, you would have the Info for from the outset, that we are only in about 2 hours on it. Everyone would have cannot seek bar or anywhere else a corresponding place. But it was as rooted in part in the blazing sun by the missing info and waited, it continued. A very poor organization of the booked Organizer. Johnson, our guide, preferring the toilet a tree, where we all could look. That was not really nice. But he seemed so "ausgepullert", now again enough to have power in order to welcome us on his raft. After 2 hours we were waiting finally turn... Fortunately, there were no mosquitoes, we could enjoy the ride through the Urwalddschungel relaxed on a bamboo raft. A very romantic trip of approximately 90 minutes. Our "Captain" told us much plant and nature as well as land and people. During the romantic raft trip we were pelted several times by other people who stood at the water's edge at their stands, with souvenirs, not really liked us. Who is so intrusive attempting to sell us a souvenir, need not be surprised, if you buy nothing from him. Beverage dealers stood along the River, luckily they have not thrown at us with the cans. At the end of the ride guide was also a surprise for us. Also he had hidden in his backpack, souvenirs and wanted that we buy from one (self-carved vases). When we arrived at the destination, so many rafts were, that we could not directly apply to our raft, and had to travel an arduous path that led other rafts on the land about 4 or 5. If one considers only the raft trip without the outer circumstances and inconvenience, it was a very nice ride through an untouched nature. An experience with a kick of adventure. Very much recommended.
