  • On the occasion of the June 2, after eating at the bed and breakfast Boccapane and visiting the storehouse of memories we had intended to finish off the day by visiting the Castle. But a real bomb of water, with hail, we prevented it, so after an hour, saw that it went on raining, and the last visit was initiated, we desisted and we returned. The urge was so much so 4 Sunday, broken down from Parma, along came Zavattarello. We parked before the village and hopped on foot. The Castle dominates the town and the road salt may seem harsh but gradually come to you most of the trail which passes into the Woods so in 15 minutes we arrived at the entrance, (but nothing prevents to get out of drive). Inside the furnishings have been carefully put back after suffering countless ' World War 2 damage, so few are of the time; most, in fact, was donated by private individuals. However, care of the castle is remarkable how impressive was our guide who has been able to tell, with true mastery, the stories and legends related to it, like the ghost of Pietro dal Verme but did not want to, alas, manifest. Once on the tower you can enjoy a splendid panorama that opens up the surrounding valleys and that makes you a little envy those who had the privilege to live. Really nice!! Max and Kim page.
