  • This Roman Theatre is perhaps the most interesting legacy to Rome in Volterra. Can be enjoyed both on top, by the way, as for those who have time, visiting and walking through the ruins. The State of conservation is that it is still used for musical performances or something equivalent.

  • As all ruin of civilizations past moves to the evocation of "How was that". The ruins of the theatre can be seen from the top of the wall. Beautiful pictures of the surroundings are obtained from the same place.

  • In close proximity to a commuter parking lot in Volterra are uncovered modest remains of ancient structures. If you go to Voltery for other attractions, it is advantageous to park next to the ruins.

  • Beautiful view from the ledge above. A must see site in Volterra!
  • Wonderful well-preserved Roman amphitheater built for 2000 people! There were exhibition of ancient gladiator's fights this time on the stage there but unfortunately security has expelled us because of closing time (17:30) :-(
  • Beautiful rinse on a gorgeous seeing
  • Cool site in a city that predates the Romans... Avoid paying to enter the site by walking above on Volterra streets for FREE.
  • We observed from outside at the suggestion of many locals who were advised to save € 5 tickets. No doubt about it, is a plunge into the Imperial age, just outside Porta Fiorentina.
