  • The area of the temples is a bit neglected and even explanations might be improved. Beautiful, well maintained and taken care of the theatre area, which is worth seeing.

  • We explored 2 times after many years and no unfortunately appreciate details redevelopment. TOO BAD The Etruscan Acropolis is located in the Archaeological Park and rivers, is surrounded by greenery and is it interesting, "where you can read the development and the various layers of the city, Visible only appear the foundations of 2 buildings, called" temples "A and B separated by a road surrounding the place and then remains of houses from the Hellenistic period, a complex system of tanks including the so-called Pool but battered by time and signs described as boring. To avoid that the visit will be a disappointment to know (before) that you see only the foundations of the buildings and a beautiful view of the Palazzo dei Priori. While it is Beautiful the tanker from being accessed by a spiral staircase. It is run "very badly" by the municipality, is an area that you should re-evaluate. Open daily 10.00-16.00 and from 9 November/March March to 1 November 10.30-14.00 17.30 Volterra Card costs.

  • Was bought by the Museum's map, and in general I really like excavations, therefore, decided to be sure to get there. Very long time I could not understand how to walk-located on the outskirts of the city, next to the City Park. Can travel and not so far away, but if you know how, and it took a very long time. Even if you are lucky to be in the correct way, it will still have to spend a little extra time and effort to get there. Therefore, even after seeing what disappointed little and not an impressive area of excavations. After Roman Palanitina hard to force myself to turn imagination how to submit something on this modest wreck walls. The only thing that has pleased town view-a bit unusual camera angle. But then there is something the Roman era-but it is not clear where is it? Come to a well with the roof, and the employees I shout: "you can go". Down goes the narrow spiral staircase (railing normal, everything is not so scary). Get down in the twilight, the sound drops in the bottom CAP, Cap. " It seemed that the ladder will not end ever (there not so deeply, but screw stairs always accumulate a decent yardage), Cap, Cap "increasingly don't see where you're going, what will be inside when you are already prijdesh' somewhere. Inside a small room, but it is so cool to be in such an old place, and under the Earth, learn how to collect water during the Empire, look like after so many centuries to accumulate water drops in an ancient tank smell ancient dampness. How does this unusual! Oh and a little extreme impressions, especially if you go down alone. When rose at the top man was talking on the phone, was afraid that he would start to go down-how do we break up with him on a narrow staircase? But he never went down. On the surface, look at me, was probably not very much, the staff even asked whether all is well with me, and I don't even like to remember experiences back into the city. But I liked it. So for the sake of the reservoir and the emotions you can walk there. If for physical or psychological reasons, it's tough for you, then it is hardly worth going just for the sake of the excavations.
