  • Start with the outside. The Palace is beautiful, with its façade filled with adornments and a very attractive architecture. Here gathered the leaders of Volterra to decide the fates of the community and of the people. At some point it would have been a strong redoubt of Italian Communists that one day ruled the city.

  • We could not enter, for the short time that the guides have left us in this place. But hear from them the history of the city. See the remains of Etruscan civilizations of VI or VII c. is wonderful and breathtaking. They mingle with the buildings of the Middle evo. Recommend the city and treat guides to explain its history.

  • The collection of the square and the Palace is very impressive, a typical complex that characterizes many towns of Central Italy. The Interior of the building has as its focal point the Council room with beautiful frescoes. You can climb the successive plans where various exhibits stand out. And you can climb, with little effort, the Tower, but not on horseback: the Bell ... does not forgive! The view is spectacular obviously. On clear days, such as those by the end of October, at sunset I recognized the outline of mountains in the North of Corsica, as then I have confirmed some natives.

  • Awesome palace with very windy tower. Palace had 3 floors with original furniture and pictures. There is exibition of modern art on the last floor.
  • Simply stunning architecture and without the massive crowd of other Tuscan towns.
  • This was a really fun place. It was a little cold (I was there in December) but the shops here were fun and the scenery was outstanding.
  • It´s possible to climb the bell tower, wich contains another small tower with a clock.
  • Whole Volterra is beautiful. Just walk around and enjoy your stay.
