  • In the charged 5 € for the entry. You get a text (in my case in Portuguese) explaining the various rooms and historical environment of the mansion. Note-If you care to keep the environment (clothes, fabrics, bedding set, tables, upholstery, furniture) faithful at the time. Worth by intimate aspect of the quarters. Walk relatively quickly.

  • Palazzo dei Priori is the seat of civil power in Volterra for centuries. To access the frescoed halls (sala dei Priori and the sala della Giunta) you must climb two flights of stairs with steps ups and much consumed where your feet rest for centuries more often than elsewhere. Really an emotion get in what is now the seat of the City Council and admire the walls and the colors that fill the eyes. For those who have difficulty to walk, there is a elevator access

  • Is located in the city centre in the square. Its Romanesque Gothic style building, dates back to 200. It is perfectly preserved. It is the seat of the municipality of Volterra. The exterior is made of stone. The classic Tower of Renaissance palaces was built in ' 500. Inside you can visit the Council Hall, frescoed and decorated. The paintings date from almost all of the 800; the ancient remains only a fresco depicting the Annunciazionea Maria painted around the ' 400. From the top of the tower you can enjoy a fantastic view of the city and surrounding countryside.

  • Awesome palace with very windy tower. Palace had 3 floors with original furniture and pictures. There is exibition of modern art on the last floor.
  • Simply stunning architecture and without the massive crowd of other Tuscan towns.
  • This was a really fun place. It was a little cold (I was there in December) but the shops here were fun and the scenery was outstanding.
  • It´s possible to climb the bell tower, wich contains another small tower with a clock.
  • Whole Volterra is beautiful. Just walk around and enjoy your stay.
