  • The Museum is not discussed ... absolutely fascinating. The staff is friendly, with a few conventions tickets are even cheaper. But as I read in other reviews I too shared the same feeling: the Museum is completely need reviewing--apart from an audio guide signs on exhibits are scarce or absent .... old labels and outdated ... some of its rooms are stale ... sometimes even lighting on exhibits is wrong ... no multimediali...si content ends up wandering the halls, admiring and "assuming" findings ... it seems like everything has crystallized in the years ' 50 ... are exhibits of more than 2000 years is one of the most enigmatic and illustrious civilization times ... deserves the right enhancement

  • Probably the richest Etruscan Museum there is, his visit takes an hour to be enjoyed thoroughly

  • These people had the highest culture even before the emergence of Rome. Modern science says that they are relatives of our ancestors. At least Etruscan letters read old letters. Very rich Museum. Fabulous fun to realize that civilization came not in the twentieth century, and has been on Earth for a long time.

  • The biggest collection of etruscan cinerary urns ever, amazingly carved in alabaster. It's a must!
  • Interesting exhibitions, but almost no description of what things were and almost nothing in English. Still enjoyable if you're prepared to try and work things out for yourself!
  • This was a kind of weird museum. I enjoyed it, but at some point it stopped being interesting to see Etruscan funerary urns. That's primarily what's in this museum. Worth seeing as a part of the family pass or if you've got a large interest in Etruscan funerary urns, that's about it. Maybe better with a tour guide.
  • One things for certain the amount and quality of Etruscan art in this collection is truly astounding. The workmanship and detail on the alabaster and terracotta urns helps bring the past to life. On the downside, one of the responsibilities of a museum should be to educate and the Guarnaccia falls woefully short. The information contained on the labelling (even in Italian) tended toward the minimalistic and it would have been good if a number of artifacts could have been highlighted because of what they revealed about Etruscan culture. About half way through the exhibition I did notice what looked like numbers on some of the exhibets that seem to belong to an audio guide but I was not offered a guide at the entrance and I did not see any for hire. Perhaps the grumpy looking person on the front desk forgot to inform me, she seemed very preoccupied with making me shut the door properly, making sure I was not carrying a bag and informing me I was not allowed to take photos.
  • I was positively impressed with the size of the collection especially in comparison with the Cerveteri etruscan museum.
