National Park
Make the challenging yet rewarding hike at Sentiero 586 (ex n.6D) Volastra-Case Pianca. This trek from Manarola to Volastra proves more demanding than a stroll through the wilderness, but the view and experience are well worth it. You'll pass vineyards, olive groves, and the sea on your way. Wear closed-toed shoes with traction for the rough trail, and remember to take water as there are no water fountains on the trail. Note that the popular trail can get crowded towards midday. See Sentiero 586 (ex n.6D) Volastra-Case Pianca and all Volastra has to offer by arranging your trip with our Volastra itinerary planner.

  • Equip yourself good shoes, a hiking stick, of a CAP, a good dose of courage and a camera to capture the magnificence of the landscape and get started. You won't regret the time you'll take to this magnificent trail at your own pace or your efforts. Everything is so beautiful, especially if you're a super sunny day!

  • Trail that runs along a beautiful stretch of cinque terre among vineyards and olive trees, very well marked, almost flat and suitable for anyone (though not suitable for wheelchairs)

  • The trail to Volastra in Case Pianca runs in open ground for a couple of kilometres amidst terraced vineyards in parallel to the national road then in a wooded area with pine woods. At the end you can go down to Corniglia. A nice location with nice views. I was there in the spring but should be even more impressive at the time of harvest.
