  • Literally this year I met with the notion of "the road of the Franks", meeting the relevant indices in Piedmont. After seeing similar plates depicting the stranger with the knot, on the streets of Viterbo, not surprised-from here to Rome already. It is interesting that in our times on this pilgrimage path carried out hiking and cycling tours.

  • The famous Via Francigena, or Road Francs is a pilgrimage francs from England and France in Rome (or the way of the Romans in the opposite direction). Closest to the Rome leg passed through land that once inhabited by the Etruscans, who were in the middle ages the name of Tuscia. "A path in the area of Tuscia francs was directly via Viterbo to Rome from here a little more than a hundred kilometres.
