  • We stopped to drop off from the bridge of the Immaculate we had in Rome. We wanted to visit the Cathedral and Palazzo dei Papi, to do this you must take a guided tour (the Council, very interesting). Tickets can be purchased in the Museum colle del duomo. Our tour guide Amy (I hope I'm not wrong name) was very good, explained in a very cheerful and "down to the good" (as you say) the story of Viterbo, of santa Rosa, the Duomo and the various Popes who went from Viterbo. The only flaw of the Palace are open to visitors are two rooms, the rest is currently used by the city and by the curia there can be accessed. Very interesting! I would highly recommend!

  • Cathedral Museum along with the Papal Palace into a museum complex includes Piazza San Lorenzo, visit on a single ticket. In addition to the archaeological section and papal treasures of great interest is the fine arts section with a great set of pictures. But the most surprising-"crucifixion attributed to Michelangelo himself" Viterbo!

  • It is the principal city of the Viterbo workshop Art Museum, located in the Cathedral square. Inside you can see a collection of archaeological finds, objects of sacred art and paintings dating back to the XIII CENTURY XVIII. "Madonna with child" Kavarocci very good! Also very interesting examination of the Palace of the Popes to the conclave.

  • Great history. Lacks English speaking guides. Very pretty though
  • Having had a chance to visit inside but I've been tons this place is gorgeous. It is in fact the first pace were the conclave for reunited, so a good place to go if you love history.

  • One of the most beautiful monuments of Víterbo. Papal history is made here

  • Along with the Cathedral is the most important historical monument of Viterbo. Pope Alexander IV in 1257 vi moved the seat of the Papal Curia, and stayed there for 24 years, electing ben 5 Popes. Here we find the famous sala del Conclave by virtue of having hosted the first and longest conclave in history, lasted 1006 days ago.
