  • I went in August to visit the Lake of Saint Dominic and I came across a religious function and village party, I visited the cave where St. Dominic lived being able to understand all the serenity he enjoyed leaving the Church decorated for the occasion, coming in gorgeous. The path is quite accessible to a certain extent, sometimes muddy, I could not follow the trail because of an injury but I have seen it come back from the top people of all ages. The water is beautifully clean, there are free animals to photograph and a family group of Villalago (Scanno) was by the Lake to cook traditional kebabs while sang religious songs, at a certain time has started a dance music, I was sad to not be surrounded by nature and hear some music. When it became too much we went to eat a good barbecue camping. I hope in the future to be able to walk to an area where I can park in comfort and enjoy the walk because you find along the road is difficult and walking towards the Hermitage is quite dangerous because of the narrow street and the absence of dedicated pedestrian crossings, to the beautiful bridge over the Lake it would be best to walk from the trails that depart from the village of Village or Scanno. A romantic and cheerful, a huge stretch of water where fluent nature, relaxation, beauty. I will return in winter to enjoy a quieter atmosphere and meditation.

  • From the crystal clear water lake with a thousand nuances. Rocky bottom clear and placid ducks sailing. You can get directly to the lake where you can admire the bridge or take a beautiful walk that leads to the Hermitage from which you come to a real beach that it is backed by a great picnic area with tables! we also spotted a Fox!! lovely relaxing place
