  • Since August finally the Castle will be open every day from 10 to 13 and from 15.30 to 18.30. In September will be open on Saturdays and Sundays.

  • We were in Villafranca in Lunigiana and toured the outside of the castle of Malgrate. We asked for and we have been told that the castle is owned by the State and that until that time it was not known if and when it would be reopened to the public. Seen from the outside, it looks very interesting, especially the high tower. Unfortunately we don't know what's inside!

  • Malgrate is a wonderful village of Lunigiana, my review is for this, not the Castle, however admirable from the outside. Wonderful and rich history and full of curiosity. Characters especially, Giovanni Antonio da Faye chronicler and humanist, and speziale, Bonaventure Pedro Vitorino Monsignor Sylvester Landini Jesuit. But such interest me most of all was the painter called locally The comes and goes. Eccentric character of which some locals told me about the adventures and quirks. His works, caricatures and historical portraits dated years ' 80 and ' 90, are observable in many corners of the country. Next to each door of House, past resident is represented with its qualities and its defects. A curiosity to appreciate this location. the rest? Coming from Villafranca, in the afternoon, from below the view is wonderful. An hour or so wandering beautiful portals, Majesty and coats of arms is not lost. Destination that I would absolutely recommend.

  • One of the most beautiful Castles in Tuscany with a spectacular view on the whole valley!
  • Not a castle expert but this place was beautiful, went there for a friend's wedding. the views were awesome, you can also spend the night there, but no A/C! breakfast in the morning overlooking the village fit for kings.
  • Amazingly beautiful place to stay near Cinque Terre. Fantastic hosts. It's magic!
  • Nice
  • The enchanting surroundings ... have been there for new years and I must say that the organization left a little to be desired ... long waits in the queue to get in, food at the buffet, very few seats compared to people there and virtually no base for eating ... cute music and after a turbulent start to finish we enjoyed ourselves. Economic price of the evening ... could not be expected so much but maybe it could have been better ...
