  • I was here on business. The castle is beautiful, well kept, clean and the staff was very friendly. The red room and the blue room are great. feels like stepping back in time from the moment we set foot. Not to mention the wonderful terrace with panoramic view and the turret on top to visit. We also had a buffet in my opinion great! With fried dumplings, pizza, but also vegetables including Zucchini and spinach ... peace is enviable, especially if you come from a chaotic city

  • Il borgo di Vigoleno, part of the castles of the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza is definitely a piece of history that deserves to be visited. Too bad that to get the roads are in a poor state and places like this deserve a greater enhancement and maintenance of the territory ...! Around the village there are several car parks in excellent condition, we had a few niggles to make the visit but eventually were honest to reimburse us part of the cost of the tickets! You can visit the Tower, the walkway with the South Tower and the castle which is partly private and partly House hotel with adjoining restaurant. Enjoyed the visit to the little theatre in the Castle ... rare pieces of history!

  • It's amazing, but in Italy we of little gems like this one. Vigoleno is there on the Apennines between Piacenza and Parma in an enviable position with its very well preserved walls and a village still original. I highly recommend the guided tour (takes about 1 hour) as it includes, exclusively, the visit to the main floors of the Castle otherwise inaccessible.
