What a treat for young explorers! Lots of stairs to climb up to the towers and down into dungeons! Helpful and kind staff. PS steep stairs, can be a bit difficult for toddlers and elderly people. Nice... more »

The castle of Vignola and the most beautiful rocca of Italy. The oldest and best preserved. I highly recommend a visit inside to admire the many rooms full of old frescoes preserved. The entrance is free and for those who want to visit there with a tourist guide.

Una rocca medievale, un simbolo. È il monumento di riferimento di tutta la valle del Panaro ed il castello più importante dell'unione di comuni detta "Terre di Castelli". Vi si svolgono attività artistiche, ludiche e ricreative. Merito della Fondazione di Vignola, che ne è proprietaria. All'interno sono significative, a mio modesto parere, le sale affrescate del piano terra (da tempo ristrutturate) che ospitano regolarmente appunto eventi, quelle del primo piano e la cappelletta (di più recente ristrutturazione). Gli ultimi lavori a cui è stata sottoposta la struttura hanno riguardato sia la stabilità strutturale complessiva delle torri, una riqualificazione dell'antico accesso da nord e la struttura difensiva sovrastante, la Torre delle Donne.

A medieval castle, a symbol. Is the reference monument across the Panaro Valley and the most important castle of the Union of municipalities called "Terre di Castelli". Take place artistic activities, recreational and leisure activities. About the founding of Vignola, who owns it. Inside are significant, in my humble opinion, the frescoed rooms of the ground floor (long since remodeled) that regularly host note events, those of the first floor and the Chapel (recently renovated). The latest works that have been submitted the structure have involved both the structural stability of the towers, a redevelopment of the old access from the North and the defensive structure above, the women's Tower.

Il castello molto molto bello guida molto bravo chiaro e competente . Paese di vignola a misura d'uomo e i suoi abitanti molto cortesia e ospitali per non parlare delle ciliegie fantastiche
