Vignanotica Beach, Vieste
(4.3/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
Vignanotica Beach offers a pebble beach with many caves carved by the sea. Now you can reach it by a pine tree-lined path, although in the past visitors had to arrive by sea. Backed by attractive limestone cliffs, the beach slopes into turquoise water. The lack of a shallow area and lifeguards means that the beach is not recommended for families with children. Take advantage of the beachside restaurant bar and public shower. To visit Vignanotica Beach on your trip to Vieste, use our Vieste itinerary builder.

  • Sand Pebbles a little too popular with those arriving by spinning the grottoes by motorboat but ... to see!!! If you wear shoes you walk much better!

  • One of the few public beaches in the South. Easily accessible, quiet. Clean sea!

  • We returned to this beautiful beach in late August. It is located on the border of Vieste and Mattinata. You have to let cars and motorcycles in the large parking lot of land surrounded by olive trees and take the free bus to the beach. The daily fee is 7 euros. The beach has two bars, toilets and possibility to rent beach umbrellas and sun loungers. The sun goes away soon enough, at around 15...ma in warmer weather makes almost pleasure enjoying the shade. The beach is surrounded by cliffs and maquis. The only flaw, the sea is often dirty for traffic of tourist boats.
