Old Town, Vieste

(4.5/5 based on 1,300 reviews on the web)
Perched atop a cliff overlooking the sea, Old Town brings you back in time. The city itself is charming, and the views will leave you breathless. Walk along the narrow cobblestone streets, stopping at small shops to sample local products. Rest your tired feet after climbing the many stairs, and have a meal at one of the small eateries. Some of them are even tucked into little caves, which makes for a cozy and somewhat unusual dining experience. Make Old Town a centerpiece of your Vieste vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Vieste vacation generator.

  • Gorgeous town on top of a hill. Spent a afternoon walking around and checking out the food markets. Came out with fresh cheese, meat and delicious bread. Recommend to walk around and take in the sight...  more »
  • Old town reminds strongly Algiers reduction, interlacing of steep alleys, White House above the sea, a charm and a real pleasure to get lost. This part seems uninhabited at that time (April) because we meet almost nobody, however the large number of restaurants and wine bars attest to a probable heavy activity in the summer. Dominated by an old Castle, today military zone) and down by the Basilica Cathedral dell' Assunta (built in x1eme century)

  • A typical Italian town, in a relatively little known region and quite difficult to access (for those who do not spend more time on the Gargano). So Hill, Bay, white rocks, narrow shaded streets, laundry on a string, atmospheric pubs as well.
