  • On one side of the Palladian Basilica stands in all its glory. Attraction not to be missed definitely.

  • Beautiful la torre Bissara from every angle and perspective ... is a true symbol of Vicenza, in winter for the holidays is lit up very well with the much photographed "waterfall of light" that starts from the top of the Tower

  • Stands and undisturbed stands on Piazza dei Signori. It was built in Gothic style around the 1175/1180 from the powerful family Bakshi that lived in the building next door. Initially was lower; was raised and taken to the actual height-82 meters-in the mid 400 's. Not open inside. Not to be missed.-

  • Also known as the Square Tower, the torre civica di Vicenza arose in the second half of the 12th century to defend the mansions belonging to Bakshi, hence the name by which it is best known. Original block today only the base remains, since the tower was built in 1311 and about a century later was fitted with a belfry with mullioned Windows. In the years 1444-1446 were added two octagonal dome and lantern, culminating in portions until you reach the 82 meters high, making it one of the tallest buildings in the city. The Tower, one of the symbols of Vicenza, even appears in the background of the Pietà by Giovanni Bellini (ca. 1505) stored in the Gallerie dell'Accademia of Venice.

  • Very slender and typically Venetian; too bad can't climb

  • Interesting fact related to this tower on the square of the Signori is the time of the construction of the XII. century and its height of 82 meters. On the attached photos shows a sudden naoblačenje and very quickly convert days in a sudden night.

  • Located in the spectacular Piazza dei Signori, attached to the Basilica Palladiana, this imposing tower rises 82 meters, being one of the most important heights in the city. Its construction began the year 1174, expanded during the 14th and 15th centuries to reach its current height. In 1945, during World War II, it was bombed, being partially destroyed. In 2002 was undertaken a profound restoration process that allows us to contemplate the magnificent aspect that presents today. The clock, work of Andrea Pisano, 1378 and, besides the time data, shows the phases of the moon. As curiosity, as well as the sound of the hours and the average, everyday, seven minutes before noon and six in the afternoon, it sounds an original melody composed by maestro Pierangelo Valtinoni.
