  • After a hearty lunch at the Fulariò of Ranchi were visiting the fortress, the remains of a huge fortress active in Italian risorgimento and even before. A big thank you to the guide who pointed out the various stages of construction, destruction and anecdotes about the place with professionalism and passion.

  • Is here near where accommodation why not go there. With difficulty I can find the way to get there but there are. Immediately the imposing walled in front of me and a large gate. Within, part guided tour by paying a modest sum I subscribe. Excellent exposure and historical references. It is true that the original fortress little remains but is always a pretty sight. could be preserved better, but you know in Italy works that don't have thousands of visitors are mistreated. Anyway nice to see, nice to think of being in a piece of history. Over exaggerated views of the Po Valley

  • The fortress of Verrua Savoia is a fortress, unfortunately survived only the main part because at the end of the last siege of 1705 the French after having conquered have dismantled almost all the defensive walls, fortunately the main gallery and a large number of adjacent structures are saved ... what remains is very nice to see because it's place at the top of the Hill and offers the visitor a view at 360 degrees in the Monferrato hills and the Alps (would be an ideal location for a webcam, Gonzo that haven't already thought) among the other surviving structures have been recently refurbished and inside there is also a small exhibit of memorabilia and finds the siege so I advice to lovers of history and short walks in nature. the scenery and not to be missed
