  • I really liked the location of the tomb of Juliet. There is the statue of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, the Chinese legend of the butterfly lovers that most piqued my attention. And also a huge red heart, sculpture called "Open Heart"

  • After having surveyed the streets of the beautiful Verona to find the tomb of Juliet, here you go. Entry costs € 4.50 and includes the visit of a "Museum" where the frescoes are dilapidated, without explanation any apart from if you speak Italian, and supervisors are very troublesome to follow us everywhere with a suspicious air (while the Museum is empty) and do not speak a word of English. Practice for information! We was then referred to the home as we had a backpack (the man at the reception we have no information on the fact that the bags were banned inside, and did not offer to drop). Regarding the tomb of Juliet, it is located under a nice little cloister (which still not worth the price paid). When one goes down the markets, is expected to something comparable to the beauty of the works of Shakespeare. There is nothing: a small cave illuminated by three small lights highlight a substitute for burial, without interest (all with a babysitter who still follows us everywhere, even down the stairs, in case the desire we would take to destroy this "work of art" with his bare hands...) I recommend! This museum, and this rock that serves as a tomb are time consuming, nothing else! An insult to the work of Shakespeare.
