Where to stay in Verona

The historical center of Verona is packed with famous luxury hotels, which offer all the modern conveniences but also tend to be very expensive and require booking months in advance. If you're a spontaneous traveler visiting on a budget and staying in the central area is not one of your musts, consider checking into a small B&B or family-operated farm just outside the city. Verona's picturesque countryside offers less expensive but comfortable lodgings with good food and friendly hosts, all within a short drive from the bustling city center.

  • One of the fascinating archaeological sites in Verona
  • Hundreds of years ago, this was the entrance of Verona. Very beautiful.
  • A glorius example of Roman ruins. It worths a visit.
  • After 2017 years is still standing! And not as the shacks they build now, that if it's okay and there remains under is a miracle.

  • I was born in Verona and it is normal for me to see its wonders including the Roman Porta Leoni still in good preservation and the underlying remains of the city.
