  • Definitely one of the most beautiful buildings of Verona, inside the notaries Chapel, a small chapel within the Museum. There are works from 1840 to 1960. Definitely worth visiting.

  • Covered by Verona Card, in the backyard of the Tower, upstairs, some interesting art pieces to see.
  • Good Place
  • Located between the Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza dei Signori, in its origin was a housing private, situated near the Roman Forum. In the 12th century, after the earthquake that ravaged Verona, was completely reformed the area, and the communal Palace, built one of the first public buildings in Italy. In 1493 it takes the name with which today we know it, Palazzo della Ragione, a first stage dedicated to commercial activities. Through the centuries had different functions, until after several years of decline, in 2007 was undertaken a profound restoration, becoming then the building headquarters of the Gallery of modern art Achille Forti, which can be visited from Tuesday to Friday from 10.00 to 18.00 and Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 11.00 to 19.00 hours. Closes on Mondays. Entry costs €4. If we are in possession of the Verona Card, which allows us to visit almost all the sights of the city for €18, admission is free.

Where to stay in Verona

The historical center of Verona is packed with famous luxury hotels, which offer all the modern conveniences but also tend to be very expensive and require booking months in advance. If you're a spontaneous traveler visiting on a budget and staying in the central area is not one of your musts, consider checking into a small B&B or family-operated farm just outside the city. Verona's picturesque countryside offers less expensive but comfortable lodgings with good food and friendly hosts, all within a short drive from the bustling city center.
