  • This small church is a short distance from the parking lot of the Court and is a real gem. There is a small patio and a courtyard in front and the Church itself is very Petite but extremely pretty in its simplicity. The perfect marriage would close.

  • On a hill behind piazza Cittadella, once named mount Olivet, rises this church. The Romanesque origin is, the temple was built by the monks of Vallombrosa around the 11th century. The plan of the Church, although transformed over the centuries, reminiscent of San Fermo. The door of the monastery is surmounted by a niche with a "Trinity" of the 14th century, while the walls are made of Tuff and brick. The small Romanesque cloister covered announcing the Church is supported by red marble columns, while the walls we can see some Roman inscriptions. Inside a single nave, there are numerous works of art: there are frescoes and paintings by veronese painter Domenico Riccio and his son Happy, wonderful "Annunciation" attributed to Martin from Verona and many other paintings by Jacopo Ligozzi and Giovanni Caliari, two painters of Verona. To see why it is a splendid Romanesque church.

  • Beautiful val certainly worth exploring; only drawback is that I found rather sullen and laggard who attended the opening.
