  • See, a real Pearl of Salento. Nice Castle excellently maintained. Worth a visit.

  • In theory we were supposed to go to the sea! But in August it's almost suicide! Then we followed the first direction and arrived in this village! Unfortunately the Castle opens at 18 and nn we could visit it inside (in puglia make schedules well strange!) But I am still fascinated from the outside and the huge bed of yellow flowers placed out front. The country is a calm comforting. We stopped at a restaurant (only for coffee) that deserves a round-eye for lunch ...

  • We came to Acaya by accident, finding a little gem in the heart of Puglia. Once there, immediately strikes the Castle and the walls around the town ... great! The oldest part of the castle dates back to the early 1500, in later years it was enlarged and the walls were built. Also was given the town a detailed plan to follow that still occurs today in alleyways in Roman plan. We tried to get into the Castle (since at that time would have to be open) but we were not allowed by the Proctor for a fault in the electrical system (though behind her we saw a light on ...). That's unfortunate, we found a large number of monuments closed! Beautiful entrance arch. ..

  • Magic - even more if you visit the castle in a hot summer afternoon.
  • Acaya is a small village with a quaint old town: Castle encloses with its walls a large square. Inside are often set up exhibitions and meetings
