Vernazza, Vernazza

(4/5 based on 2,200+ reviews on the web)
An integral piece of the Cinque Terre region, Vernazza is perhaps the most preserved example of a true Italian fishing village. Admire Mediterranean and harbor views from the city's 15th-century hilltop castle. Wander the town's cobbled streets, lined with stone churches, pastel-colored homes, and ornate buildings. You can only get around town on foot, so wear comfortable walking shoes. The climb to the summit may be difficult for people with mobility issues. Make Vernazza a part of your Cinque Terre vacation plans using our Cinque Terre travel itinerary maker.

  • Sincerely I had very few expectations for CinqueTerre. I was impressed by these villages with labyrinthine streets of ups and downs. With views over the city. I did the walk way Monterosso-Vernazza, very tired, but spectacular, the best photos of the Italian Riviera, it is one hour and a half walking up and down stairs of stone and Earth, but 100% recommend it. I would without a doubt. CinqueTerre is a place you need 1 day to explore it. They estimated 2/3 hours by people, with a stop for meals, rest, etc. I did base in la Spezia, and from there take the train to the Cinqueterre, has often and is stopping in each village, the Ticket is all day, until 2330 more or less operate trains with total peace of mind, ticket cost €16. How always Italy does not stop surprising us!

  • One of the "pearls" of the cinque terre! Truly an amazing destination! It is very convenient to reach it by train, the station is integrated into the village, but perfectly "unassuming"! Still reach it by bike is definitely more exciting. The period is definitely ideal there are still too many people there and moves perfectly. There's not much to see, but the scenery is breathtaking. Lots of small boundary very nice restaurants and some ideal for a romantic dinner. Must-visit destination, mark it on your calendar.

  • Corniglia beach is really inexplicable. . Non-existent guidelines. ... scale access points without end ... danger of getting very bad .... old bungalows. .. that definitely would be easy to remove. .. .... it seems a Godforsaken world ... and from simple signs for the beach. .. and especially for families with children to the dangers
