The place is well preserved with original tools and weapons and that in itself is a miracle. Good editors and Admins. Thanks and greetings to all the great people.

I state that I have visited exhibitions and museums really well made about the great war then in visit to Forte Strino saw untapped potential properly. The Fort is in a very good state of preservation and this is a good start; within a couple rooms with display cases show objects unearthed in the area and mannequins with uniforms of the time; they speak of war in the area of panels and explain the fate of populations living in the Valley; good. What left me puzzled, indeed what don't I like? the initial film with movies taken from documents I assume generic images of the period, propaganda war views, and magazines, the song Volga Volga, background (what does?) and a few, a few photographs of civilians forced to flee the Valley to be deported to camps in Austria until the end of war: hurt, without a nexus linking the various steps and mostly boring. It would have been more interesting than a movie explaining the genesis of the Fort, its transformation in the years up to its final State, its meaning within the network of forts erected along the border and the links between them, and then specific photographic images of the place. Then in the walls of the halls the evolution of warfare from the middle ages to the second World War: why? beyond the fact that it's basics you already have, what's the connection with Strong Strino, the study visit? there is. Bottom line: the entrance is free of charge and costs €4; whereas, in order to visit the spectacular War Museum of Rovereto €7.5 I spent I would say that the proportions don't hold up. If you have the trentino Card admission is free
Eugenio MenescardiIs an active Austrian fortress during World War I, the remains were restored with what was and is home to a small museum. That meet the following tables illustrate the story. Easy parking along the Road SS 42 del Tonale and Mendola
Alessandro ManfridiIn 1860, with the second war of the Risorgimento, the Austro-Hungarian Empire realized strong Strino, to defend the border with Lombardy. It is a fortress built entirely of stone, on two levels, with the upper Windows have stayed where the pieces of heavy artillery. With the conflict in 1914-18 the Austrians (to which we must all fortifications whose ruins are present in this region) implement some concrete additions, in particular an internal staircase of 93 steps that rises from the road below the fortress and gets to the vestibule at the entrance. The last three rooms inside are used as Museum with exhibits of the great war, the uniforms of the soldiers of the two fronts, including the white uniform of Alpine skiers. The Fort has been restored with the financial support of the province of Trento in 1995 and opened to the public in 1998, managed by the staff of the municipality of Vermiglio, who owns it, the same staff of the Museum of war down to the village. To emphasize courtesy and helpfulness.
