  • A truly enchanted amidst the Tuscan Apennines, flowing over his mountain drinking water as you can, cool and refreshing, it seems almost a waste. LAA view from up here looks like a postcard.

  • I would say that if you go from the caves have to divert and visit the Hermitage's worth and just where is it would be nice to be able to live in peace. Stop that chaos

  • We are located in the narrow valley of the river Turrite. The main street, on the right, branches off a narrow road that, in less than one kilometer leads to the square of the Hermitage. The architectural complex is situated in a spectacular location, at the base of a limestone cliff wall. The original church of the 11th century it was enlarged in the 14th and 18TH. Partially dug into the rock, the Hermitage is one of the few examples of cave architecture in Garfagnana. The Church of the Hermitage was built close to the face of the mountain, the rock wall, the sacristy Bell them and part of the convent are dug in the rock. The Church has a façade with a portico. The Interior is decorated in eighteenth-century style with extensive use of stucco. The vestry, which was the original place of worship, has a wooden jamb interested. The monastic complex is very austere: inside hosts the old kitchen, a chapel and the friars ' cells, which are also carved into the rock. From the rugged Valley Preti, but it is impossible not to feel overwhelmed by the overhanging rocks that give this place an additional charm. To visit it inside during the winter months you must agree with the parish priest

  • A must see though driving is a pain. Is barely a one lane so very tight
  • Certainly this is a place of peace, and for those who pray for those seeking.

  • Nice for location, but inside nothing that

  • And a love of small but sanctuary where you feel close to our Lady.
