  • One of the two most important museums of Vercelli: almost exclusively used as a picture gallery. A few hundred meters from the old town.

  • A real gem that you wouldn't expect in a city like Chicago, flat, amidst the rice paddies. And not go at the bottom.

  • The Director and his colleagues make a difference: to follow than a lecture on the history of the Canal, their speeches have outclassed by far those of guests, denoting an absolute mastery of the knowledge of the Museum, with unexpected ability to offer links to many disciplines recalled by exhibits, which were ancient statues, sketches, prints, projects contained in the message boards. The Museum heritage conducted with genuine passion and immediate harmony with the heterogeneous audience gathered for the occasion is the strength of Burgundy. The munificent founder would be proud, since his work lives today with renewed strength educational and promotional.

  • HOW MUCH BEAUTY! The Burgundy Museum along with the Lion Museum, are two jewels of Vercelli absolutely unmissable. Don't be fooled by the small size of the building, inside there are an infinite number of works ... Antonio Burgundy was founded in 1822 and thanks to economic opportunities and trade in rice, began collecting works of art making his home a real Museum that at his death, having no heirs, gives the city of Vercelli. In addition to items of furniture, sculptures, furniture and tables purchased while traveling, are so many paintings hanging on the walls. Notice that the works are divided into different epochs starting from the 15th century. In the first part you can see sacred works, altarpieces, polyptychs and various fragments of mural cycles left by some churches and recovered. You switch to painting from the 17th and 18th centuries with works by Carracci, Carlo Maratta, but even Vernet, De Heem, etc ... to get up to the present day. The exhibition is spread over three floors and are really many works to see and I think I have to go back to enjoy it quietly. Pity that the Museum is forbidden to photograph ...

  • Unexpectedly just outside the most well known of the beautiful Vercelli, houses a museum that contains the wonders of every age! infinite quantities of masterpieces in beautiful spaces. Several very valuable paintings that strike at the heart ... the more contemporary part has really shocked. Not to be missed. Useful to subscribe to the site to discover the many activities and concerts that are held in parallel in that extraordinary place.

  • A nice Museum, sadly undervalued. Should be improved heating and lighting
