  • A beautiful House Museum in the heart of Vercelli, excellent collection of paintings, the second most important art gallery in Piedmont to be enjoyed in a beautiful building. It has an outstanding Collection of paintings of the Piedmontese 500 and not only ...

  • The Burgundy Museum along with the Lion Museum, are two jewels of Vercelli absolutely unmissable. Don't be fooled by the small size of the building, inside there are an infinite number of works ... Antonio Burgundy was founded in 1822 and thanks to economic opportunities and trade in rice, began collecting works of art making his home a real Museum that at his death, having no heirs, gives the city of Vercelli. In addition to items of furniture, sculptures, furniture and tables purchased while traveling, are so many paintings hanging on the walls. Notice that the works are divided into different epochs starting from the 15th century. In the first part you can see sacred works, altarpieces, polyptychs and various fragments of mural cycles left by some churches and recovered. You switch to painting from the 17th and 18th centuries with works by Carracci, Carlo Maratta, but even Vernet, De Heem, etc ... to get up to the present day. The exhibition is spread over three floors and are really many works to see and I think I have to go back to enjoy it quietly. Pity that the Museum is forbidden to photograph ...

  • For the content of the Museum, as reported by others: fantastic works. The bad service relates to: 1. Not all artworks have the caption 2. You must leave everything (including the personal bag not only backpacks and umbrellas) in the lockers: If one half visit need to blow your nose? 3. You may not photograph, not even charge. 4. There are no postcards (many even curled up with a long presence in espisitore) of everything, even of the masterpieces (the person who accompanied us to my complain of the inability to make photo said she much there are postcards ') 5. You are accompanied throughout the visit by a caretaker. It is right that there is surveillance, but a more modern and less intrusive one cannot think? 6. Very little chance to sit to rest for a while

  • Unexpectedly just outside the most well known of the beautiful Vercelli, houses a museum that contains the wonders of every age! infinite quantities of masterpieces in beautiful spaces. Several very valuable paintings that strike at the heart ... the more contemporary part has really shocked. Not to be missed. Useful to subscribe to the site to discover the many activities and concerts that are held in parallel in that extraordinary place.

  • From town vercellese, not just say that the Museum is lovely, but I express gratitude to Antonio Burgundy for what he did for our city, to all those who have worked in the past for the conservation of these collections and to date the protect with great professionalism and passion!
