  • "A hidden wonder ..." The title refers to the fact that, compared to other cities of art, Vercelli, and its large Cathedral, or the Cathedral of Saint Eusebius, are given little. The Cathedral of Saint Eusebius is large and majestic and contains many items of interest: the tomb of Sant'Amadeo di Savoia, the tomb of Sant'Emiliano in Vercelli and the Lady chapel, the chapel of Saint Helena, the SWAT pipe organs, etc. etc. ... It was originally an early Christian Church, which was rebuilt so important during the Counter Reformation, with various modifications over the centuries. Therefore one can call it a hybrid structure, with many things to note and study. Must for guests visiting Vercelli. And it is especially nice in the winter when there is almost none.

  • Built on the site where there was an early Christian basilica in the 3rd ^ century and dedicated to Saint Eusebius, the first bishop of the city, the Cathedral offers the viewer an awesome juxtaposition of volumes and an uncommon juxtaposition of styles, which go from the Romanesque Bell Tower of the 12th century to the late nineteenth-century addende designed to better celebrate the figure of the Saint. The Interior is great, with three naves, dominated by the large crucifix and enriched by the famous Madonna of slap. Don't miss it, well worth your time and attention.

  • Art and history for fans of frescoes and statues.

  • IMPRESSIVE Really immense and worthy of a capital as Vercelli. On the external façade you notice the huge statues of the 12 Apostles. The belfry is older than the building of the Cathedral. Not far away there is the Archbishopric, and if it's the right day, go see the Vercelli Book and various treasures of the Cathedral.
