  • In 1976 he passed that terrible earthquake who beat the Friuli.La city has risen with the tenacity and dedication typical of this people. The Cathedral is anona being restored, but the obvious signs of damage are largely gone. The village is famous for the lavender and in October for the pumpkin days.

  • Hi, today x the first time we went to the pumpkin Festival in Venzone. The last time I visited these areas I was a schoolboy and the reason for the trip was linked to the provvocata destruction by an earthquake. We had gone to visit Gemona. .. destroyed. And today walking into this little town I was moved. I switched + times around the Duomo until something prompted us to enter ... we sat and without realizing it's spent an hour. See the traces of the past made me very think and seeing the tide of people staying in the country made me realize that this people joined and attached to their land/traditions. Will definitely be back. Greetings.

  • Entry into the Cathedral of Venzone, already very nice on the outside, jaw-dropping awesomeness of the place, for works of art which conserves and moving and passionate work of reconstruction which allowed, ten years after the earthquake, to recover an important historical value, civic and religious. The restorations carried out anastylosis has allowed the recovery of all the original material can be re-used and its correct relocation, thanks to the skilful cataloguing, already in the first days after the collapse, stones and architectural elements fallen on the ground. His visit was one of the most exciting moments of my trip in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
