  • Very crowded and very large. Too many illegal African sellers of watches, hats, bags. All blocking up the walkways. A good range of products and it is certainly an experience. Have been 3 times in 3 years whilst we were in France. That's enough, probably won't go there again. Warning, car parking is almost impossible!! Took us almost an hour to find a place, and that was 15minutes walk from the market. Suggest bus or train, leave car at home.
  • Definitely not worth a trip from Menton over to Italy. Every stall in the market is identical to the next. There are a few cheese and meat stalls that are grand if that’s what you’re after. Otherwise it’s all cheap clothes. Not the experience we were expecting. *if travelling from Menton make sure to bring photo ID for border police on your trip back.
  • I love ventimiglia and I love the market. A genuine working town with the beach and the old town and good shopping if you want too. The market is a good mix of value and expensive but mostly good quality. Plenty of french people popping over the border to bag a bargain. Plus the great weather. What's not to like.
  • I don’t get the hype of this market, we drove all the way from Nice and sat in traffic, then circled for about 2.5 hours to find a parking spot. Upon arrival, I already knew this market was not special. It’s the same stands I’ve seen everywhere else, just loads and loads of them. Everything repeats itself within a street or two, you’re bound to see the same items every corner you look. Didn’t need to make a special trip for this market, wasted half a day.
  • Typical italian market, good vegetable and fruits, lovely flowers, good prices and lively atmosphere. There is also a very good fish shop. Saturdays and Sundays the market it's open up to 5 pm.
