  • Read that Italy is one of the most beautiful villages in Venous can let perplexed but once you arrive, we understand that it is not at all an exaggeration. Albeit rightly everything revolves around Horace, the city has authentic treasures such as the Castle, the old town, the Cathedral, the famous fountains, the home of the Latin poet. The atmosphere is joyful and peaceful, the people friendly and funny, decent roads. Venosa is worth visiting, even if only for the oldest part, and the place where you can taste the traditional cuisine of Basilicata in many great restaurants.

  • We arrived on Sunday for 12, full of locals around, at 13 seemed a bomb went off, the desert, the bars in front of the castle all in closing, we wanted to drink at 13:30 but was told they were closing, to be one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and on Sunday a tourist expects something more , anyway very nice Castle and village streets cute, the casa di Orazio perhaps should be kept a bit better.

  • A nice town very quiet and very polite with people. The Castle and the old part of town are really nice.
