  • Near the Cathedral and Town Hall square are the remains of Roman building, alleged home & tomb of poet Orazio Flacco. Thermal environments have emerged Calidarium of the 2nd century.

  • Brothel without any sign that indicates hours and/or who to contact. Shame as Venosa deserves some time to visit.

  • La casa di Orazio is inserted into a Vein and lane so if it weren't for a plaque with a minimum indication of that is representing the estate, it might seem the House of some Loretta whatsoever. We went back several times but is always closed, the presence of Horace is palpable in the town saw that in several places there are boards with his phrases, iconic, and I don't understand why her home seems to be standing by the will of fate. Unfortunately the Basilicata has a cultural heritage highly respected but everything is left to chance.

  • A simple place with great historical value ... to disappoint those expecting to see something special.
