  • It is the great School of San Teodoro (Teatro lyrical) that promotes the realization of concerts, operas, operettas and other dramatic plays in lyric singing. Situated in the vicinity of the Rialto Bridge in Campo San Salvador, it is formed by a selection of virtuous musicians and the most talented sopranos and tenors of Venetian culture. In a real luxury environment, the "Scuola" featured in this season a program dedicated to Vivaldi and an extraordinary Baroque opera concert. Fortunately my stay in Venice allowed me to watch the two performances on alternate days 11th Baroque and opera and day 12 The Four seasons of Vivaldi. Both shows were phenomenal with the added value of Vivaldi being one of my favorite composers, let's say it was gold on blue. A range of internationally renowned musicians, sopranos, tenors and baritones who have been drawn to rigor with the clothes and jewels of the time have filled our souls and reinvigorated the spirit. Experiencing this kind of experience precisely in Venice, in a fabulous setting like the capitol of the Scuola de S. Teodoro is something that we DO NOT forget easily. At least exhilarating. The show room operates on the first floor and is decorated with facades in the whole round with magnificent paintings on the ceiling, one of them of colossal dimensions. The acoustics without being eximia, is, however, very good, the perfect illumination. The lower floor, by default is used as art imagemagic at least when my visits functioned in this way, further enriching the cultural offer. The entire building is in perfect state of preservation, contributing in a binding way so that it is considered the most prestigious concert hall in Venice. I love Venice, and I loved these concerts and every time I return to Venice I will not be thrilled to return to this House. Congratulations to all the musicians and artists, it was worth every penny I paid.

  • This small concert hall holds performances every evening of Baroque chamber music and excerpts from famous Italian opera. The performers, in period costume, are first-rate; and you can tell that the artists love and enjoy what they do. My kids loved the show! The music is light and approachable for non-experts of classical music. A great experience for the entire family when in Venice!
  • It was nice, but the whole time the guys, that check the tickets at the entrance, were walking around and staring at people. I think they were checking if someone is making a video, which is not allowed, and I think people who go there are intelligent enough to understand that. This walking around and looking at people as if they are looking for some criminal was really annoying and kind of humiliating. At least we couldnt relax the whole time. Other than that it was nice, a nice experience. The performers were really good.
  • Had a very venetian evenings performance, vivaldi four seasons beautifully performed and great outfits of the era added to the absorbing qualities of the evening
  • Absolutely wonderful. I will deffinatly go again.
  • A lovely surprise, this is still one of our greatest memories of our trip!
