Inspirock Rating:
3.7/5 based on 400 reviews on the web
Housed in Venice's old customs building, Punta della Dogana is now a contemporary art museum. The name refers to the triangular area of the city where the Grand Canal meets the Guidecca canal, but it has now become synonymous with the building and its art exhibits. Previously empty for decades, the building was restored in 2009 by French art collector François Pinault, whose €20 million renovation showcases the building's "industrial and minimalist soul." Stand at the tip of the triangle, enjoying views of the vast sea ahead and the canals behind, before heading into the building for a look at some of Venice's finest contemporary art. With our custom trip planner, Venice attractions like Punta della Dogana can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • The ticket of Palazzo Grassi we also visited punta della Dogana. It is a Masterful restoration. Alone is worth the visit. Inside there were several concurrent installations that may like or not. I am all for "or not" the good thing was that there were some Academy students who were available to explain the meanings of some works. For those wishing to organize tours and activities for children. Also the view you have for Venice is magical, preferably on a sunny day.

  • Creates rich, new exhibition spaces by inserting a concrete wall inside the building of the old customs building. Central atrium can enjoy a view of the outside, of course, Windows is also used in the exhibition rooms on the second floor. You can enjoy 10 minutes alone in the Punta della Dogana tickets has nothing in common with the Palazzo Grassi.

  • La Punta della Dogana is a great example of a magnificent restauration. The place is beautiful, with large spaces perfectly adapted to welcome works of art equally interesting.
  • Hi, I have few questions about Punta Della Dogana. Can you help me out? Thank You
  • Architecturally this is a marvel. What a fantastic restoration. But the artwork was ridiculously bad. The creative director should be thrown into the Lagoon!
  • It was good, but if rushed, I'd skip it next time. Great setting.
  • Excellent showcase for a well thought renovation. The buildings and the surroundings themselves are worth the visit
