Ponte dell'Accademia, Venice

(4.5/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web)
Cross the Grand Canal on Ponte dell'Accademia, one of four bridges to cross the span of water on the southern end. The crossing connects the sestieres, or city subdivisions, of Dorsoduro and San Marco. When you go, look for the “lovers’ locks,” or the padlocks engraved with couples’ names and locked onto the railings. • old wooden bridge is not the most beautiful but if you take the vaporetto you will pass necessarily below we went below and above because it connects very tourist neighborhoods

  • It is certainly not a bridge between the most beautiful spots in Venice: nothing to do with the Rialto or that of Calatrava. I would say rather that it is useful, because it connects the area with San Marco. The bridge is made of wood with a single span the Grand Canal.

  • One and only wood bridge in venice. Once it was built for tempory use but venetians love it.
  • This is one of four bridges over Canal Grande. It is only a temporary bridge, but looks really nice though. Hopefully, the city will decide on building a bridge that fits more into Venice. You can take a really good pictures from up there, however it is crowded usually. This is also the old water entrance into the city.
  • Incredible view and one of the best of the Grand canal and in Venice. Highly recommend stopping here for some photos of the canal.
  • Mist visitnat dawn. Despite photography classes. A classic and unique wooden bridge.
  • An indispensable footbridge (what else) linking Dorsoduro with San Marco. It's also indispensable for the platform from which every tourist stands camera in hand (or on tripod) to capture that prized photograph of The Grand Canal.
